Maximalist Interiors with a Theatrical Twist

Some people redecorate. I add theatre.

peachpicklepear is an independent interiors brand built on the belief that a table should make people gasp a little before they even sit down. Bold colours. Exaggerated patterns. Oversized scallops. Heavy ruffles. Maximalist table linen. The kind of pieces that turn a dinner party into an event.

The Brand

Everything you'll find at peachpicklepear falls into one of three categories, and all three share the same philosophy: life's too short for boring tables.

Handmade. My own designs, made by hand in North London from heavyweight cotton canvas. Oversized scallops, heavy ruffles, bold colour, built to last a lifetime of dinner parties and styled to cause a scene at every single one.

Sourced. I'm an obsessive hunter of vintage and secondhand pieces with genuine flair. Recycled glassware, older decorative items, deadstock finds. Things that have a story, a character, and occasionally a slight imperfection that makes them more interesting. Every sourced piece is chosen because it belongs on a peachpicklepear table.

Loved brands. I'm not precious about it. Sometimes another brand makes something brilliant, and it deserves a spot. I stock a small, carefully chosen edit of labels I genuinely rate, because a great table isn't built from one source.

I also actively seek out deadstock fabrics and high-quality secondhand textiles for my handmade range, giving forgotten rolls of premium cloth a second act. Many of my designs are strictly limited edition as a result. Which, frankly, makes them better.

Meet the Maker

Hi. I'm Kate.

I run peachpicklepear from my sewing studio in North London, where I design and make everything by hand. My relationship with fabric started early. I grew up around my mum's textile work, and apparently some things are just absorbed through proximity.

What I absorbed: an eye for quality, a zero-tolerance policy for things that won't work, and a deep respect for a well-cut seam. The obsession with oversized ruffles and maximalist drama? That part's entirely mine.

Outside of peachpicklepear, I work as a Creative Services Director at a creative agency, volunteer as a costume designer at Stoke Newington's Tower Theatre, run sewing workshops at Gather & Stitch in Crouch End, and take private commissions for theatre and TV production décor.

In short: fabric is not a hobby. It's a lifestyle with several distinct departments.

Why peachpicklepear Exists

Fast homeware is everywhere. Beige is having a moment that has gone on far too long.

peachpicklepear exists for people who want their home to have a point of view, who think "too much" is a starting point, not a warning. If you've ever looked at a beautifully laid table and felt genuinely moved, you're in the right place.

Handmade in North London. Designed to cause a scene.
