Vintage English Ironstone Pottery Beefeater Cow Plates | Set of 4

This set of vintage English Ironstone Pottery Beefeater plates features four entirely different illustrated cows, each one rendered in a distinct colourway and pattern: a highland cow in pink and duck egg blue florals, a stocky bull in deep aubergine and purple swirls, a grey bull covered in scrolling curves, and a highland cow in pale blue with copper and black flower motifs. The white ribbed rim is the same across all four, which means they read as a set while each plate still has its own personality.

English Ironstone Pottery was a Staffordshire maker producing characterful illustrated ceramics, and these Beefeater plates are among some of their most sought-after designs. They were made to be used, so use them. They're robust enough for a dinner party and graphic enough to double as wall art between uses.
